The Board
Irvine Bay Urban Regeneration Company was established in October 2006 as a Company Limited by Guarantee and not having share capital. The Company has an eleven member board consisting of five members from the public sector and six members from the private sector, including an independent chairman.
The public sector partners are representatives of the main funding partners and include the Leader of the Council who is Vice Chairman of the Company. The Chief Executive of the Company is not a Board Member but has delegated authority in many areas.
Alistair McIntosh, Head of Regeneration, Scottish Executive is the Scottish Executive's representative on the Board, but not a Board member, and attends Board meetings.
