Deputy First Minister to attend Irvine Bay public meeting

Scotland's Deputy First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, is to attend the first Annual Public Meeting of the Irvine Bay Regeneration Company.

Important announcements on the first of Irvine Bay's transformational projects are expected at the meeting, which is to be held on Tuesday 18 March at 9.30am at the Gailes Hotel, Marine Drive, Irvine.

The Deputy First Minister is to speak at the meeting, reinforcing the key place that Irvine Bay has in the Scottish Government's regeneration strategy. Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive, Irvine Bay Regeneration Company will present on some of the key milestones to date.

The regeneration of Irvine Bay is set to bring new investment to five of North Ayrshire's towns. Irvine Bay Regeneration Company is focussed upon creating physical and economic improvements to the towns of Irvine, Kilwinning, Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston that will create new job opportunities, improve the quality of life and provide opportunities for future economic growth.

As the regeneration of Irvine Bay gathers momentum, the meeting represents an opportunity for the local community to come along and hear about the exciting new plans for the area. With significant projects already underway and important groundwork in place, Irvine Bay is now poised for vital new projects that will bring investment and strong economic growth to the five towns.
